Up until now, the students at Esperanza Viva have been mostly using digital point-n-shoot cameras (donated by fabulous people like you); they’re ready however to take their skills to the next level and we need digital SLR cameras for the upcoming workshop.
How It Works
Hosting a Camera Campaign is one of the most practical ways that you can help us reach more children. We provide all the tools that you need to get donations, all you really need to do is tell your friends, family, colleagues and neighbors about the project.
I love taking photos!” ~ Braulio, age 14.
The 2012 workshop at Esperanza Viva will most likely be held in the Fall but dates haven’t been set yet. Our goal is to take at least 5, preferrably 10, digital SLR cameras with us. You can go to our flickr page to see the photos from the 2011 workshop.
Getting Started Is Easy
All you have to do is spread the word. Go to your local copy shop, print out this flier and post it everywhere! Coffee shops, your office, athletic clubs, local laundromat are some suggestions to get you started. You can also post the pdf on your facebook page and tweet about!
